Annunciato dal sempre informato Melodicrock.com sta per uscire un cd che è contemporaneamente un nuovo lavoro dei Mr.Big ma anche un tributo alla band. In che senso???Facile...i membri della band suoneranno i loro pezzi vecchi con una marea di guest stars.
Zio Glenn canta su "Alive & Kicking" e "Price You Gotta Pay", mentre cugino Joe L. Turner canta la bellissima "Daddy brother lover little boy". Tra gli altri ospiti membri degli House of Lords, Paul Rodgers, Keanu Reeves (mah), Matt Sorum e altri.

MR. BIG'S INFLUENCES:
Pony Canyon Japan have confirmed the Mr. Big tribute project Influences And Connections will feature a bonus DVD with the initial pressing of the CD.
The CD will contain 14 tracks and the bonus DVD contains interviews & scenes from the studio.
Some of the CD tracks are:
Heart's Ann Wilson on Promise Her The Moon (re-titled to Promise Him The Moon)
Bad English/Babys frontman John Waite on Wild World.
Glenn Hughes appears on two tracks - Alive & Kicking and Price You Gotta Pay.
Keanu Reeves (bass) and Dogstar lead vocalist Brett Bamroe appear on Shine.
Joe Lynn Turner sings on Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy
Donnie Vee of Enuff Z Nuff appears on Green Tinted Sixties Mind.
Matt Sorum of Guns N Roses and The Cult fame is playing drums on the song Crawl Over Me, which has Pat Torpey singing. Billy Sheehan sings a swampy version of Addicted To That Rush and Richie Kotzen will have a lead vocal performance on a track as well.
Mr. Big which features Paul Rogers on lead vocals, Kotzen on guitar, Billy Sheehan on bass and Pat Torpey on drums.
Guest guitarists include Steve Lukather of Toto, Lanny Cordola from House Of Lords and Marty Friedman, with more players being added.
The album is being produced by Pat Regan (Deep Purple, Blackmore's Night, Kiss and Mr. Big).
Invece sul sito ufficiale di Yngwie "Panzone" Malmsteen c'è scritto che lui suonerà il solo di "Daddy Brother"...quindi lui e Giovanna Turner di nuovo uniti per registrare qualcosa.
Chissà quando e io Chris Catena registreremo insieme qualcosa...magari di Hughes/Turner o Hughes/Coverdale eheh????

Si lo so..:))) Ma in quel caso devo duettare con una delle persone che odio di più...e che ha fatto commenti poco carini nei miei confronti..ma si dai...colui che è stato cacciato da Norum e da Malmsteen ^-^...
Scherzi a parte...su "Shadrane" non credo ci "incontreremo" vocalmente, ma magari prima o poi su un qualche tributo ai Purple...o un tributo a Hughes...ehi perchè nessuno organizza un tributo a Hughes^??????????

organizzalo tu, no ? o qualcuno dei tuoi amici giapponesi !!
comunque se devi duettare con chi "odi", fagli vedere sul campo che le chiacchiere stanno a zero ed i fatti contano di piu', credimi fratello.
c'e' tanta gente che odia altra gente, ma l'odio non lo fermiamo con le parole derivanti da stupidi commentini, sono i fatti, le vittorie sul campo che ci temprano e ci fanno sentire piu' grandi , ci fanno avere le spalle piu' larghe per accogliere insulti e illazioni gratuite e scrollarsele di dosso in un colpo solo.

Sono riuscito a sentire le due canzoni cantate da Zia Joe Lynn Turner...ossia "Colorado Bulldog" e "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy".
La prima è abbastanza simile all'originale e non è affatto male.
La seconda è cantata benissimo (e poteva non esserlo??) ma l'assolo di Malmsteen è palloso da spavento!!!!! C'è persino un inserto del riff di "Highway star"^-^
Domani dovrei riuscire a sentire il resto del cd comprese quelle di Glenn.
Ah...Roby...non è che le video dei WS attuali ti sono arrivate???????

Ascoltato tutto il cd...quello che ne esce sconfitto è l'assente Eric Martin che viene rimpiazzato da veri "cavalli di razza" che gli fanno moooolto male nonostante lui non sia affatto da buttare.
Glenn canta da Dio (non Ronnie James) e Turner è un mito...il resto non è cmq affatto male.
Un bel cd
