thanx for the infos. you got infos in u.s.a.from press. cause i am the last of the idiots, i'm waiting for those infos from one week, after speaking to the phone with a man of the staff. cause my mail box is full of questions and people asking about that night in rome. i think italian people asking to me, because i am from italian site, and the event will be in italy. and if the italian guys asked to me it's because i think to have a good reputation here among italian fans, and we always done a good service to the fans; and not only about glenn hughes. but i'm thinking now, maybe my reputation is better out of italy, and as i did in many times in the past, i will do everything with myself, without any help. as i did last year with H.T.P. tour. i was the stupid man that contacted italian promoter to doing the tour. and someone answered with a laugh.... now, i understand. in italy i am the last of idiots....i think there no reasons the italian site go on, at this time. i'm thinking so....at this time.

Hey Roberto....we found the press release over at melodicrock.com:
http://www.melodicrock.com/phorum33/read.php?f=1&i;=91316&t;=91316#reply_91316
Then we contacted the promoters to verify it.
This is going to be one hell of a show and such a great line-up. The one song we've heard from SITKOR ("Higher Places" in Orlando) was outstanding, so in an acoustic format, it should be really interesting. The Japanese press are comparing this new release to "From Now On..." in so much as the fans in Japan consider that Glenn's best solo effort...so for them to say that, is one hell of an endorsement on how good this record is going to be...now can't wait 'til May 21st
So no need to be so sad - you're going to have a great day in May (we hear there may be some surprises) and we look forward to hearing all about it

Hi there Mr. DandS, whoever you are! "so no need to be sad", that's it.. Good answer, my compliments for your sincere understanding and deep-from-the-heart concern! Well, let me tell you that I'm one of those guys in Italy who can only say thanks to Roberto. And I believe Glenn should even do the very same. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn'have any italian GH website to share our affection for G and his music, we wouldn't have had perhaps any chance to see G in concert last september with HTP. We know that Roberto does anything from the heart to support Glenn's world although this means to take away a lot of time from his family and work... As G likes to rememeber of his fans'love and devotion, some respect would been given to Roberto by letting him know first of the oncoming Glenn show-case in Rome so to annouce it on our GH site. I think he deserves it. Hats Off to Mr Roberto Cosentino!!

Whooaa marco.croci...where's all this bad feeling coming from...we consider Roberto and Giampietro our friends for a few years now and have supported their work from day one...perhaps you are unaware of this.
We're not the promoters of this show, just fellow fans, and as we saw no mention of the gig on the site, we thought it best to share the info with everyone here, as we do with a lot of Glenn's appearances throughout the world - so as no one misses out on what will be a very special night.
We also spend a lot of our own time and money to support Glenn in all his endeavours, what with our web site and fanzine, so we know all to well what it takes. Hopefully you'll take the time to check them out and see for yourself.

David, Shirean. wow!! there is no bad feeling....gonna try to keep it as simple as you understand this matter. I'm not charging you for any blame but.. I'm just upset for Roberto and don't understand the very simple answer. As far as you claim to to be good fellows to him, I thought you would have given him a much better understanding for his frustration and willingness to give it up. Hope you got the point now.

Ok, we understand what you're saying now, thanks. Had we known it would cause this much aggravation, we certainly wouldn't have intruded...we'll remember that next time!

Well, guys... I think that there's a point of misunderstanding in every reply to the topic.
Roberto simply comunicated a "bad" feeling about the fact that FRONTIERS made a mistake.
We took contact with Frontiers about a month ago to know something more about the new GH album. Every Italian rock fan knows Frontiers for his distribution of international music. The fact is that this "bad comprehension" was between us and the distribution company. They promised us really detailed informations about the Rome gig. But we received nothing. Roberto simply went mad when he saw that all the world knew about the Rome gig, when it was OUR task to inform every international GH fan about that show. And the image of the Funk-Lab could crash with this "funny" episode, after years of hard work to be considered something more than a simple Fan club.
So, Marco, let ME handle the "political" questions with David and Shirean. If we must lost their friendship, it must be for MY fault. Not for yours. This is MY matter, this is my job.
David & Shirean, I know what you have done and what you currently do for the Funk-Lab to grow, and Roberto and I will always thank you for this.
So I'm sorry for this trouble. That's not your fault, DandS, and I hope you will "intrude" really soon in the forum!
Maybe if I could spend more of my time on the computer, I could find these news some days ago, and this misunderstanding would never happen! Maybe it's really MY fault! So, I take my responsibilities for this episode.
DandS, please answer to this considerations. I need to know what are your thoughts about it.
Bye to everybody.

Giampietro - thanks for the clarification, we guess the language barrier confused the message - so no worries, it's forgotten - we're all still friends
We can understand Roberto's frustration...Frontier's should have known better - they should have at least given you and the artists involved the info, before making it available to the rest of the Internet!
We were initially skeptical about them, after hearing Glenn had signed, as we'd heard not too good things regarding promotion and other artists who had been with them in the past. Hopefully this is a one off and they'll take care of things properly in the future...having said that, they've certainly lined up a great gig and hopefully it'll be featured in the local press and elsewhere and generate a great deal of publicity for all involved, and not just be seen as another rock night in Rome!
Anyway, thanks again for clearing things up - keep up the good work and afterwards, we look forward to hearing all about the show
David & Shirean
