INTERVIEW TO GLENN HUGHES

Roberto has just reached Glenn Hughes, few days before the Promotional SiTKOR Show in Rome of the 27th May 2003. Glenn speaks about his impressions and his future. Enjoy it!

Roberto: Speak about SiTKOR. It seem that this sound goes back to Purple way.
Personally I think that "Written all over your face" is one of the best songs ever.

Glenn: Thanks. This album really goes back to my 60's and 70's roots.

Roberto: You are working on HTP 2. Will there be some special guests such as the
first one?? Someone speaks about Steve Vai on guitar. Is this real or not?

Glenn: Chad Smith will be on HTPII. That is all I will confirm at this time.

Roberto: Try to explain the night in Rome next 27 of may. Any surprises?

Glenn: I will be in Rome just for one day for a promo tour. I will be with my
guitar player JJ and we will be doing a short acoustic set.

Roberto: What will be your first tour? The solo tour or the HTP tour ? Or maybe something else ?

Glenn: I hope to do a solo and and HTPII tour.

Roberto: Many people asks about Hughes/Thrall 2, your work with Pat Travers, and From
The Archives 2. And especially this is the time to make a DVD. So, try to put in order all
this rumors.

Glenn: I have been so busy with my own projects - solo and HTPII that I don't
seem to have time for much else. I would love to make a DVD though.

Roberto: Just today we have read about next Mr. Big CD with you as special guest.
But tell us really what has been the song you liked best to sing in
your several partecipations.

Glenn: I can't really say....

Roberto: In the last times you did a lot of works with Italian players. So, I think
that you like Italy. Have you ever tought to make a tour with Dario Mollo or Max Magagni, or...someone
else??

Glenn: I love italy. I lived in Rome for a while when i was in Purple. Dario and I have talked about a tour - we will see what happens.

Roberto: We all know your tastes about music and your influences.
But really, just in rock ranking, what's your best singer in the last years?

Glenn: To be honest, I don't know of any great singers, in the way of Paul
Rodgers or Stevie (Wonder, ndr) or the like. There is a lot of yelling and screeching now.
A lot of anger.

Roberto: Now you have to explain about the show in Genova next 28 of june.
People here is really charged up about this event.
Any chances to play more gigs in those days, or just one night show?

Glenn: July 28th is just one night. I leave the next day.

Roberto: The last is my question. I love the animals, and I know you have dog and
cats. Speak about them.

Glenn: We have 4 cats and 2 dogs: long haired chihuahuas. Lily and Wolfie. We
love them.
