Giampiero Ingrassia
Giampiero was born in Rome,
he studied in the Laboratorio Teatrale (Theatrical lab) by Gigi Proietti in the
couple of years '83/'85, graduating.
He started his theatrical activity with the work L’asso nella manica (Ace in the pocket), he acted in 1985 with Proietti in Cirano and then in Oh Luciano! directed by A. Piccardi. Followed by: Il Frate (The monk) (1986), directed by R. Reim, I Cinque Sensi (The five senses) (1987), directed by L. Squarzina, with Sergio Fantoni; Il viaggio di L. (The journey of L.) (1987), directed by Piccardi; Invito in scena con delitto (Invitation in scene with crime) (1988) written by N. Simon and directed by M. Cinque. In 1989 he is the main actor of La Piccola Bottega degli Orrori (The little horror shop), directed by S. Marconi; In 1992 then I topi ballano (Mouses dance), directed by M. Sbragia, acting with M. Wertmuller and D. Formica. Then follow: I guardiani di porci (Keepers of the hogs) (1993) directed by Corbucci/Marsili, Luv (1994) acting with E. Angelillo and F. Ferrari, directed by P. Rossi Gastaldi; Prigionieri di guerra (Prisoners of war) (1994) directed by L. Zingaretti. Always of 1994 is Zot, written and directed by D. Camerini, acting with C. Leone, C. Noschese and A. Attili. In the ‘95/’96 season he's Capitan Tempesta (Captain Storm) in the musical Il Pianeta Proibito (The forbidden planet); in summer of ’96 he debuts at the Todi Festival with Dieci Decimi (Ten tenths) written by A. Rossi, with great critics' appreciation. From ’97 to ’99 he's the male star of the theatrical version of Grease, acting with L. Cuccarini, directed by S. Marconi. In 2000 he is Herod in the theatrical version of Jesus Christ Superstar by M. Piparo; in 2001 he debuts at the Taormina Festival with the musical Salvatore Giuliano written by D. Scuderi, directed by A. Pugliese, acting with Tosca.
In television he took part in Beauty Center Show (1983) acting with Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia (his father), Con licenza dell’autore (licensed by the author) (1985) with M. Scaccia, Grand Hotel (1985/’86), directed by G. Nicotra. He's one of the main actors in the serial movies: Classe di ferro (Iron class) (1989), Classe di ferro 2 (Iron class 2) (1991) and Quelli della Speciale (Special squad) (1993) directed by B. Corbucci. In ’98 for the Italian channel Canale 5 has presented 108 episodes of Tira e Molla (Push and pull) and, in ’99, with L.Cuccarini, Campioni di Ballo (Dance champions), followed by the TV movie Tutti x uno (All for one), directed by V.De Sisti, with A.Valle and F. Castellano. In the next months we will see two fiction movies for Mediaset: La banda (The gang), directed by C. Fracasso e Il portiere non c’č mai? (Where is the caretaker?) directed by Pipolo e Corbucci.
